Redmond Proficiency Academy Freshman Success Program provides a critical on-ramp for 9th graders. Students are provided with daily core academic coursework, academic support, and the elective options that are not only fun, but also provide real-world skills.

9th Grade Is Where Graduation Begins: High school graduation requirements can feel abstract when you're starting out, but nearly every credit category a student needs to graduate is represented in the 9th-grade schedule. That means a freshman who engages fully is systematically checking off the boxes they'll need to walk across the stage four years from now.

  • Core Credits, Covered: English, Math, Science
  • World Language, Arts, and Electives, Checked Early
  • The Pre-AP Pathway Keeps Doors Open

Freshman Success Means Fewer Surprises Later: 9th Graders take a Freshman Success course, taught by one of Redmond Proficiency Academy Graduation Coaches. This ensures students don’t fall behind. When students build strong study habits, organizational skills, and a support network in 9th grade, they're far less likely to hit a wall in sophomore or junior year when the coursework gets harder.

Office Hours Are Built Into Every Day: Every teacher has structured office hours. This is not accidental. It sends a clear message to students: getting help is expected and easy, not something to be embarrassed about. Your student doesn't have to hunt down a teacher after school; support is woven into the normal school day.

A freshman year done well means opportunities abound throughout your journey at Redmond Proficiency Academy!
