Youth Career Connect at RPA

Youth Career Connect (YCC) works in partnership with REDI and High Desert ESD to help place Redmond high school students with internship opportunities that match their skills and professional interests! Our goal is to support students as they explore potential careers and develop the relevant job skills needed for future career success.
Bre Wilkins will be the YCC coordinator for Redmond Proficiency Academy for the 2022-2023 school year. As a Central Oregon native, Bre knows firsthand the incredible opportunities young people have access to in our growing region. She will be working with the Youth Career Connect program as the new Redmond Internship Coordinator. In this role, she will help students find internships that align with their passions and develop new skills in a real-world setting. In addition to her work with students, Bre will work with local businesses to create new internship opportunities and foster interest in the variety of industries available in the Redmond area.
“Working with students and helping them navigate the transition out of high school has always been a passion of mine,” Wilkins said. “I love connecting young people to exciting opportunities that align with their career/future goals. Internships are a great way to gain hands-on experience in the working world and take learning a step beyond the classroom.”
To schedule an appointment with Bre, email, Bre Wilkins or call 541-480-7046.
Bre will be on the RPA campus on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Future Center (G206.)
