Why Students Should Do Their Best (On the ACT test)

Students should do their best on their grade-level version of the ACT for a number of reasons. First, RPA tries to meet our students where they are academically, and the ACT tests provide important information about students’ current academic proficiency. ACT scores inform student placement in classes the following year.

Secondly, students need to meet Essential Skills as outlined by Board policy. The ACT tests are one way for students to meet that important graduation requirement.

Third, depending on how well students do on the ACT with Writing, they could be eligible for scholarships and grants.
