What’s happening in Middle School Leadership

“RPA Middle School Leadership is off to a great start!” said Sommer Kirk, one of the middle school’s Leadership teachers.
They began the year by finding their “True Colors,” or leadership style, and studied how their leadership styles may impact how they work together in groups.
This year they are focusing on three areas: service, events and culture. Leadership students have selected what they feel most passionate about within those three, and are working in committees with each focus.
Some students are currently planning to use “We Are One” week to build school culture, while others are working hard to plan their next event, the Fall Carnival.
“We are so excited that so many students were excited to join leadership, and we’re looking forward to a great semester together,” Kirk said.
Students in Student Support Specialist Miah Anderson’s Leadership class are working on “We Are One Week”, where they will focus on RPA culture and belonging. Activities will include positive affirmations, shout-outs to students and staff, as well as treats!
