Weekly COVID-19 Mitigation Reminders: Cleaning and Disinfection
The Redmond Proficiency Academy (RPA) COVID-19 Safety Guide outlines the plan RPA will follow to mitigate the spread of COVID and work to maintain the health and safety of staff, students, and the community.
COVID is still present in the community and RPA will take every precaution to protect our students, staff, and families and remain fully open for students to access in-person learning.
By following the Oregon Department of Education, Oregon Health Authority, and Local Public Health Authority. State and Local Public Health Authority guidance RPA will strive to remain open and provide a safe environment for both staff and students. Additionally, RPA will continue to utilize the Layered Health and Safety Measures in order to help mitigate the spread of COVID. Layered health and safety measures help us maximize full-time, in-person learning and reduce disruptions for students, staff and families.
Cleaning and Disinfection
Take a Wipe at COVID
During the Return to Campus Orientation each staff member will be introduced to and apply practices with the current process used for cleaning areas in their associated spaces. The CDC recommends that surfaces be cleaned with a soap and water solution daily. Staff will be asked to clean their desk and table spaces with the GREEN cleaning solution and towels at the end of the day. Facilities staff will throughout the day clean high touch public spaces throughout the Campuses. If needed Facilities staff will disinfect an area associated with any COVID event. It is illegal and not recommended that staff bring personal products into the facility. Every product is required to meet school use and be entered into the MSDS book. Please ask the building Administration if a special product is required for your program or space.
The Best Defense is a Good Scrub
Each of the main entrances into each building have had no touch foaming hand sanitizer dispensers installed. Please encourage the use of these and proactive hand washing.
There is a cleaning tote in each room on both campuses. Each tote is stocked with all the supplies and PPE staff will need for the day. Totes will be restocked as needed.
