Every student has a voice at RPA.
Sometimes they want to join their voices together.
Clubs are wonderful vehicles for students who share common interests to gather and discuss, debate and do. But at RPA, we do clubs a bit differently.
Clubs at RPA are student-driven with a staff advisor. This means that clubs come and go according to current student interest. Current and past RPA clubs include (but are not limited to):
- Spanish Club
- Debate Team
- …With Love
- RPA Book Club
- Gay-Straight Alliance
- Fellowship of Christian Athletes
- Yoga Club
- Robotics Club
- Green Team
- Thespian Troupe
- Dance Club
Any student interested in creating a club should find seven to 10 other interested students, identify faculty interested and able to advise, and fill out the paperwork. Completed paperwork should be returned to Sarah Lopez (sarah_lopez@rpacademy.org) for processing with our Administration and School Board. Once we have Director approval, your club can meet unofficially but will not have fundraising capability.
The application will then go on to the RPA Board of Directors for their approval (they meet four times a year) and students will be advised via email if their club has been approved. At that point, any fundraising outlined in the club application can be commenced.
Interested in joining a club already in action? Watch for emails throughout the year announcing various club meetings.
