Schoolwide Testing Day, April 18

Tuesday, April 18, is a schoolwide testing day for students in grades 9-11. RPA utilizes the ACT suite of assessments to establish proficiency levels for our students in the core subject areas. 11th-grade students will take the full ACT with Writing, and 9th and 10th-grade students will take a grade-level version of the ACT. These national assessments provide additional information about our students’ learning and help students and RPA staff members with placement decisions and awarding credit by proficiency.
Since these tests provide valuable information for students and staff, the expectation is that all students take and give their best efforts on their respective tests. While students in 9th, 10th, and 11th grades are testing, students in 12th grade will have a Proficiency Day in which they will be working remotely on their current courses.
On April 18, we ask that students are in their testing locations promptly at 9:15 a.m. Please note that arriving on time is essential on April 18 because we can’t admit any late testers into classrooms once testing starts. When a student’s testing session is completed, they will be excused for the day. RPA will provide lunch for all students. Students have been given their testing locations and other test-day specifics. Additional specifics are provided below.
