RPA’s Future Center holds successful launch

The Future Center Lunch held last Thursday was a huge success, according to Future Center Coordinator Katie Baldwin, with over 100 RPA students in attendance at the open-house style event.
During the launch, students were able to visit the Future Center and speak with RPA staff experts as well as a representative from Central Oregon Community College (COCC). The COCC representative highlighted dual credit opportunities, degree programs and support services available to RPA graduates who choose to attend COCC after high school.
“We’re very pleased with turnout and the level of engagement during the open house,” said Baldwin. “It was great to see new faces and meet so many students excited to learn more about their options after graduation. The partnerships with COCC and other local organizations are going to be invaluable in connecting our students with resources to help them achieve their goals.”
The Future Center provides a dedicated space where students can meet one-on-one with Katie Baldwin to explore college and career interests, research options, fill out applications, and more. Chromebooks and printers are available for students to work on applications and resumes. Students are encouraged to set up an individual meeting with Katie by stopping by the Future Center or emailing her at katie_baldwin@rpacademy.org.
