RPA’s Environmental Club planting trees to offset consumption

Schools use paper throughout the school year for a variety of instructional and administrative purposes. Worthwhile purposes, but RPA’s Environmental Club wanted to come up with a way to offset that consumption.

An organization called Tree-Plenish provided the Environmental Club with a way to offer free trees to community members to offset RPA’s paper usage. Tree-Plenish is able to plant trees in the community based on approximations of school paper usage.

The Environmental Club is currently fundraising with a goal of raising $1,000 to buy seedlings to be given out to the community in April. Local businesses are asked to donate before the deadline of Dec. 10 by visiting, plant a tree with RPA.
