RPA’s Amy Kappel earns Doctorate of Education degree

Amy Kappel, RPA’s director of curriculum and instruction, recently earned a Doctorate of Education from Northcentral University in San Diego, Calif.

Kappel spent the past two years studying the application of personalized learning strategies and the challenges and success that teachers that work with secondary aged students face when implementing personalized learning strategies in their classrooms.

“Studying for my doctoral degree was an awesome and challenging experience,” Kappel said. “I’m looking forward to taking what I learned from this study to help our staff figure out how to make personalized learning work in their classrooms.”

Kappel said that the number one strategy identified by participants to make personalized learning work is relationship building, adding that those findings are important and tie in closely with educational focuses at RPA.
