RPA to Celebrate We Are One Week, Oct. 17-21
RPA will celebrate We Are One Week Oct. 17-21, an annual celebration focusing on what makes each student unique and their connection to the RPA community.
On Monday, students will write their name on a paper that will be put on a bulletin board. RPA leadership students will then connect all of the students together with strings to represent their unique and awesome individuality, and also their connection as a community.
On Tuesday, a table will be set up in the lunchroom with the names of all staff members at the school and students will have the opportunity to write shout outs to the staff.
During advisory on Wednesday, all classes will participate in a 15 minute campus cleanup.
On Thursday, students will celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day. Students will be able to complete random acts of kindness for a small prize.
Finally, Friday will be our kickoff for the canned food drive. Students can bring in cans and start the advisory competition to see which advisory can collect the most cans for our community. All students will also receive a candy gram from the leadership students on Friday.
Each day, RPA high school students will be encouraged to participate in activities that inspire community and represent RPA’s values.
High School daily activities will happen in the student union in the Glacier building between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
On Monday, students can check out our “Card Wall” by the entrance of Glacier and start our school-wide art project.
On Tuesday, students can make a cat toy to donate to our local Brightside Animal Shelter. On Wednesday, students will continue the school-wide art project that will be displayed on Thursday!
On Thursday, students can come take a picture with our finished project, have a donut and make a bracelet.
Friday wraps up with Proficiency Day and our first dance of the year “Falling for You” from 7-9 p.m. at the middle school. Fall dance tickets are available here, rpadances.ticketleap.com/falling-for-you/.
