RPA Takes Time to Reflect on Veterans Day

RPA has always found it important to take the time to reflect on Veterans Day and thank veterans for their service. Throughout the week of Nov. 7, students engaged in Veterans Day lessons and activities that honor our veterans. High school students were encouraged to also access and complete additional Veterans Day content and lessons through their Advisory Google Classroom.

RPA also coordinated for veterans to visit both campuses on Wednesday, Nov. 9. Don Deland, who oversees Honor Flight Central Oregon, and a few other local veterans attended Veterans Day activities at RPA.

During a Q&A session with local veterans, students asked questions about the different branches, questions about the G.I. Bill, and what day to day life is like when you join the Armed Forces.

As a show of appreciation, students made cards for veterans and they will be passed out during their annual Honor Flight.
