RPA students perform music sets at Redmond Farmers Market
On Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019, Redmond Proficiency Academy (RPA) students performed sets at the Redmond Farmers Market at Centennial Park from 3-6 p.m.
The performers played original songs, covers of popular songs, and accompanied themselves on guitar, mandolin, ukulele, and bass.
RPA has a non-traditional music program in which students are encouraged to write original music and perform sets as young artists.
“Our hope is to become contributing members to the larger Central Oregon music community and offer a training ground for aspiring musicians,” said Jonathan Moore, RPA high school music director.
Moore said students will play future performances throughout the school year when opportunities become available.
