Robotics Team Performs Well at State Competition

RPA’s Robotics team, known as the Quasar Alliance, recently represented well at this year’s state robotics competition. Their strong performance is especially noteworthy considering the high caliber of the competition, which included teams consistently ranked in the global top 10.

The team consists of students Alex Larson, Isabelle Kizans, Jack Zamora, Lucas Gregory and Megan Craig.

“This year’s event proved to be a rigorous test of creativity, technical skills, and teamwork, compelling every participating team to strive for excellence,” said Jared Lawrence, the team’s coach. “In this challenging environment, the Robotics Quasar Alliance’s showing was a testament to their development, resilience, and commitment to high standards.”

“Our journey to the state competition was characterized by meticulous preparation, as the Robotics Quasar Alliance focused on improving their robotics and STEM skills, refining their strategies, and nurturing a spirit of collaboration,” Lawrence said.  “This effort translated into an impressive outcome, reflecting their technical abilities and capacity to thrive under pressure.”

The recent competition also marks the final season for senior members Alexander Larson, Isabelle Kizans, and Megan Craig who will soon graduate and begin new adventures.

“The team has greatly benefited from their leadership and contributions over the years, and we extend our heartfelt thanks and best wishes for their future endeavors, Lawrence said. “We eagerly anticipate the wonderful accomplishments that lie ahead for them.”
