RPA Opens New Student Success Center

Located on the high school campus, the Student Success Center opened to students on Monday, Jan. 16. The center will house RPA’s social worker, Jessie Gallaher, Student Success Coach, Tom Boldon, campus security monitor, CJ Johnson and School Resource Officer, Jordan Uppendahl.

Students are encouraged to visit the Student Success Center for emotional, academic and behavioral support. Students can also visit between classes for a calming break, cup of tea, or a place to work on school work.

“We created the Student Success Center as a way to bring together all of the different student resources into one area,” said Assistant High School Director Jennifer Turner. “We wanted to create easy access to schoolwork support, social/emotional support, in one location. We also want this to serve as a safe space for students and the center will include a calming room, where students can go if they are experiencing anxiety or stress.”
