RPA Middle Schools Holds Successful Winter Music Showcase

On Jan. 23, RPA Middle School held its Winter Music Showcase, an event that showcased the talent and hard work of the middle school’s music program. The evening was filled with incredible performances from the Piano, Choir, Music Lab, Guitar, School of Rock and Musical Theater classes.

“Each group brought their own unique style and energy to the stage and it was clear that they had all worked tirelessly to prepare for this special event,” said Kyle Chown, assistant middle school director.

The Piano class opened the night with several performances demonstrating the skills they learned over the course of the semester. Next, the Choir class performed two songs, which included solo performances from several students. Following the choir, the Musical Theater class performed a number from “Matilda The Musical.” The night ended with amazing performances from our Music Lab, Guitar and School of Rock classes. They played a variety of songs, from classic rock to contemporary pop hits, leading to the audience singing along.

“These three classes did not disappoint,” said Chown. The group’s energy was infectious, and they had the entire audience on their feet, dancing and singing along to their rock ‘n’ roll classics.”
