RPA Inducts New National Honor Society Member

RPA recently inducted new National Honor Society (NHS) members in a ceremony attended by current members, RPA teachers and staff, and family and friends.

“Being accepted into our National Honor Society chapter recognizes more than just a student’s solid academic performance throughout high school, but it is also a recognition of an elevated level of care for and connection to our community,” said Bayley Killpack, RPA’s NHS adviser.

Now over 100 years old, the NHS enshrines four pillars at its heart: ScholarshipServiceLeadership, and Character. More than mere badges of honor for NHS members, these principles are transformative keys that unlock potential, enhancing every student’s educational journey, and ultimately empowering them to make profound, enduring contributions to the world.

Current members and new members recited the following pledge during the ceremony:

I pledge to maintain my high scholastic standing, to hold as fundamental and worthy
an untarnished character, to endeavor intelligently and courageously, to be a leader, and to give of myself freely in service to others. In so doing, I shall prove myself worthy of a place in the National Honor Society.
