RPA counseling staff to host scholarship workshops

Redmond Proficiency Academy counselors will host two upcoming virtual scholarship workshops with the first session scheduled for this Friday, Jan. 29 at 12 p.m. and the other scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 4 at 12 p.m.

The goal of the workshops is to help students complete the Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC) scholarship application and apply for local scholarships as well.

OSAC awards more than $10 million in scholarships annually through their free application.  You don’t need to be a merit scholar or a student with financial need to apply. OSAC administers more than 600 scholarship programs.

Students must complete the FAFSA prior to submitting their OSAC application.  The early bird deadline is Feb. 15 and students are entered into a drawing for $1,000 when meeting this deadline.  This application is also used for students to apply for the Oregon Promise Grant, which is due by June 1.

Students and parents can access local and national scholarships at any time on the RPA website: local and national scholarships.

Students are able to start the application here: OSAC application.
