RPA announces valedictorians and salutatorian for Class of 2021

Redmond Proficiency Academy (RPA) has announced their Class of 2021 valedictorians and salutatorian, the highest academic honors for graduating high school seniors.
All valedictorians earned a grade point average (GPA) of over 4.0 and completed either the RPA Diploma or AP Capstone Diploma. The salutatorian has the highest GPA below 4.0 and also earned the RPA Diploma or AP Capstone Diploma.
“This past year was undeniably difficult for our students who were accustomed to being in-person and engaged with fellow students and teachers in the classroom,” said RPA’s Executive Director Jon Bullock. “Despite the challenges and difficulties of the year, the Class of 2021 remained determined to obtain a high quality educational experience. Our staff is extremely proud of this class for showing up every day, whether it was over Zoom or in-person, and putting in the hard work to finish their high school careers on a strong note.”
RPA recognizes the following valedictorians: Lainey Adams, Chaela Baker, Megan Bendele, Iris Diez, Levi Eisbach, Elizabeth Fleenor, Elena Hazzard, Winona Holloway, Marissa James, Riley Johnson, Jaymi Knudson, Natalie Lawton, Audrey Leask, Lucas Montgomery, Evan Newell, Natalie Overbay, Emily Pedrazzi, Jessica Pendergrass, Grace Sorensen, Kai Stahly, Elias Tollefson, Maya Vierra, Boone Wagner and Paige Wentzel.
This year’s salutatorian is James Lawton.
“The Class of 2021 valedictorians and salutatorian are outstanding students who embraced what RPA is all about: taking ownership of their education and creating a personalized educational experience that enabled them to excel and thrive – even in an atypical year,” Bullock said. “We will always remember these students and remain impressed with their ability to adapt – and remain optimistic – as we navigated through this unprecedented school year.”
