Middle School to help fund local giving trees
RPA Middle School has begun its Giving Tree Fundraiser. This is an excellent opportunity to take pride in the amazing things happening at RPA. The goal is to raise $3,000 in just over three weeks. That breaks down to every student setting a goal of raising $10. The middle school has a great start with the $640 they raised at their Fall Carnival. They are asking each student to fundraise (ask family, ask friends, turn in bottles, etc.) around $15 to bring into their advisory.
On Friday, Dec. 13, 2019, all students will participate in shopping at Fred Meyers and Walmart to purchase gifts for kids in the community who, otherwise, would not receive holiday gifts and winter clothes. The amount they will be able to spend on each individual depends on the funds they are able to collect between today and Friday, Dec. 13, 2019.
Some ways people can contribute:
- Penny Wars start Thursday, Nov. 14
Send cash, check and change donations with your student to contribute. Advisories will be competing to raise the most money and pennies count as negative points. You Can Penny Bomb other advisories. There will be a prize for the advisory that raises the most money in the next three weeks.
- Donate to the RPA Giving Tree GoFundMe
Go to https://charity.gofundme.com/o/en/campaign/rpa-giving-tree1 to donate and share through Facebook and social media.
- Go Out For pizza at PAPPY’S PIZZA on Dec. 3
Pappy’s has generously offered to donate the proceeds from their pizza sales on 12/3 to the Giving Tree.
- Write a letter to family or friends asking for donations
In Advisory, students were given a chance to write a letter. All donations are tax-deductible and can be delivered to RPA Middle School or mailed to the RPA Business Office:
