Middle School Service Club to prepare meals for Bethlehem Inn
From Oct. 16 to Nov. 6, RPA Middle School’s Service Club will be preparing meals to benefit patrons of Redmond’s Bethlehem Inn.
A team of 10 students will be cooking a different meal each week, with burritos on the menu for the first week. Students have been brainstorming recipes to make and they will be preparing the meals at the middle school.
Student leader Amelia wanted to help start this club in order to “help people that need more food” and because “cooking makes her happy.”
Students are encouraged to sign up at the middle school to participate and help with the cooking for people in need.
Participating students can expect to walk away from the experience with some knife skills, basic cooking skills, cleaning skills, new friends, and good feelings about helping out their community.
